Was it hard to find a corsetier?
Yes, it was hard to find a corsetier (because there were no such nice internet sites as www.korsetts.de or www.staylace.com ;-). It was very hard, indeed. About a hundred letters were necessary to find someone who constructs corsets. My current corsets were made by an English gentleman. I'm very satisfied with his work. I sent him my measurements and he constructed the corsets according to them. So they were not really designed especially for me because I had to choose between various corset shapes and types, but they were fitted for me, 'made to measure', as the corsetier says.
