Rule #7: A lady with a tight waist must take time to have herself laced.
It is not only uncomfortable, but utterly unhealthy to close the corset entirely immediately after putting it on; inner organs like stomach, liver and so on have no time then to adapt to the corset-pressure. This is only tolerable when exerted gradually and step by step. As soon as the corset has been adjusted to the natural body-shape the lady should take a rest. The actual tight-lacing should take place centimeter by centimeter and should be done very carefully, so that the body can slowly adapt to the pressure. The longer the breaks between the lacing tours, the better. Some of my customers have extended the lacing procedure to 2-3 hours. See to it that you start in time with your morning toilette, in order to be able to follow my 'Seven golden rules'. Try them out and watch yourself in the mirror then; you will be very satisfied with what you see; and your friends will certainly be fond of your flawless, perfect figure.
